Space Stuff
Let’s start with creating the background. Create a new file, make a new layer. Fill it with white.
Add Cloud effect, and you will see this.

Right click on the layer, Select “Blending Options” and follow these settings.

Create a New layer, Fill it with black, and use the following effect and settings.

After this, you could add some more stars. This is optional. I added some on mine, using this brush.

Set the layer to “Screen” mode. You should see something like this.

So your background is ready! Group them in a folder and turn it off.
Now we will create the objects. Create a rectangle using the ‘Rectangle Tool’. Now we will use ‘Direct Selection Tool’ to edit the corner points into the shape of the image below.
To do this, using the ‘ Direct Selection Tool’, click on the rectangle. You should be able to see its points. Click onto one and drag it to where you want it to be.

Add the following settings to the shape layer.

It should look like this

Duplicate the layer and edit it using ‘Direct Selection Tool’.

When you are done, create a new rectangle and edit its shape to look like this.

Use the following settings.

Create another one with the following settings.

You should have something like this.

Now we will add text onto it. Select Text tool, and type ‘CX-5′
(You can type anything you want).

Ok, now we can’t play much with text, so we’ll change it to shape. Right click on the text layer and choose ‘Convert to Shape’.

Now go to, edit > Transform > Distort.
Select the corners and match it to the side of the object that we built earlier.

When you are done, add the following settings.

Change the text layer’s blending mode to Colour Burn.
I added a few stripes for decoration and add gradient effect to match the side of the object.

For the top, create a new rectangle shape.

Use the following settings.

So now we have this.I also added a smaller one in green.

Now we got the first object done, the rest of them are easy, just like the first one, but with different settings and shape.
Create this shape.

With these settings.

Create another shape to fake a 3D shape, just like we did earlier.

With a slightly different settings.

When you are done, you can add text on to it, using the same method described earlier.

Duplicate the second object that we created. Rotate it, so now the pointy or smaller end is facing out, and the big end face the center of the canvas.
Now, let’s change the settings of the layer.
Note: It is easier if you put all the layers that formed an object into a group or layer folder.

It should look like this.

Now, we want to arrange these objects nicely. Duplicate some that you like and rotate them. Move them around.
Now we have something that look like this.

Turn on the background. Create a new layer on top of everything. Select the Brush tool, choose one with the big soft edges, i used a big 200 px brush.
Make sure that it is black and turn down the brush opacity to 25%. Paint around the center. Change the opacity to 100% and paint in the center to cover the messy bits and this way we created a depth in the image.
Congratulations! now it is done! you have made a spacey looking image! Hope you have enjoyed this tutorial. If you would like to know more, or ask a question, drop me a e-mail.
Cheers!
