Create a new layer. Fill it with dark brown colour.
Go to> Filter>render>cloud
You will see some fractal noise on the layer. Go to > Filter> Render> Fibers
Rotate the layer > 90 degrees. It doesn’t matter which way. and stretch it to fill the canvas. This way, it looks more wooden-like.
create a new layer. Create a circle shape. To create a perfect circle, hold shift + click and drag.

choose a light beige/kakhi colour
add the following settings.

And we will see this.

Now we want to create a smaller circle shape. We can do this by duplicating the first circle that we made. And then, use [command+T] free transform tool. Once the transform box appear, hold shift and click on one of the four corners, drag the point toward the inside of the circle.
You should see this.

add the following settings.

Note: The settings are important to achieve a good and realistic object. Note how the settings, colours and shadows are arranged to create “lighting” which seemingly comes from the top right of the canvas. We know that photoshop do not have lighting, so we are faking it with colours, like when we draw or paint on paper.
Group all four layers in a folder. name it ‘Bowl’. Ok, so first step, we set up the table, and get the bowl ready. Now we should start cooking up the noodle.
Create a new layer.
Choose a small brush with soft edge. Pick a subtle yellow colour and scribble around the selected area.

Scribble alot on this layer and less on the following layers.

Create 3-4 new layer and scribble in the different spot.

Choose a scribbly layer, and add the following setting.

Copy layer style and paste them into the other layers. Group these into a folder. (i named mine noodle)
Tip: for better looking noodles, don’t overlap a the scribble in a layer.
Now, where is the soup?
Create a new layer, in the selected area, fill with a slightly darker yellow. Reduce the opacity of the layer to 60%.
This layer is the “soup” layer. Put this on top of the first noodle layer.
Create a new layer and fill it with dark yellow/brownish colour. Make sure this layer goes to the bottom of all the other noodles.

Now the noodles might look a little funny. It looks too ‘cut off’ around it.
Select the weird layer and choose the eraser tool, pick a big soft brush, and erase a little bit of the sides, so it creates an illusion of depth.

Done!
Be creative.. add chopsticks, seasonings, veggies, meat, etc.
Change the colour of the soup to dark orange to give it a spicy look.
I added seasonings and a little bit of green in the soup and also a pair of chopsticks.
Seasonings:
On a new layer, you have the options of using shapes, or paint. In this case, i used shape.
Select pen tool, choose path. create a few small shapes.
With ‘Direct Selection’ tool, i selected all of them. Right Click and choose, ‘Create Vector Mask’.
Choose fill and fill it with a colour. To get different colours, i used gradient in the layer style. =]
Heat it up with steamy look:
Create a new layer, fill it with white.
Go to > Filter> Render > Cloud.

Set the layer mode to ‘Overlay’
Opacity : 54%
Add photo filter from the adjustment layer menu, choose ‘Warming Filter (85)”, density 20%

Voila! Yummy ramen image, ready to serve! Itadakimasu!
